Now, despite the high prevalence of Human Papilloma Virus infections and cervical cancer in Nigeria, most women seem ignorant of the HPV vaccine which researchers have described as "highly effective preventive measure".

The target for the vaccine distribution is before a girl or woman is exposed to the virus.
